Iran is on Fire !

Iran is currently under a lot of turmoils after the death of the Ayatollah Montazeri. However, what takes my attention is not that the opposition members are rallying against the government of Iran. But, that the population, of course a majority of followers of Montazeri, are now against the Supreme religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The one who is supposed to be out of the political game and untouchable. The one who is supposed to have the full support of the whole population is now being pulled inside the game.
Meanwhile, In one of the most beautiful cities of the Middle-east, Ahmadinejad who was pushed back by Khamenei when he was going to hug the latter, is simply keeping quiet and leaving aside those rifts to the Supreme leader.

The basijis who are the milicia of the supreme leader, who kills and beat up people anytime and whenever they receive orders to, or when they want. The headquarters of the basijis has been attacked without any fear by the population, whereby they have set fire to the police cars and have now entered another phase of the rebellion. The rebellion is turning or has turned into a revolution against the government of the islamic revolution.
The problem is what do the iranians want to achieve with the putsch against the government ?
The iranians have as only concern that the government is overthrown and that iranians are led to govern the country. However, iranians from other countries are starting to come out of the blue and claim that they can take the leadership of the government. Some analysts on the respected France24 channel claimed that there is no possibility of a transitional government between the overthrowing of the actual government and the futur government. However, Delphine Minoui who is very close to those in Iran since she is herself in syria right now, refuted what the analyst was putting forward. Delphine Minoui argued that the Iranians do not want of a fully democratic government but of a transitional government with the religious head and a parliament with the voice of the people of Iran.
What would Iranians gain from the destruction of the actual political system?

The Iranians would gain the liberty to participate into elections, get their votes counted, more freedom to voice what they want to which is the very positive part of it.
The negative part of it would be a new government, probably composed of puppets of washington or London who financed those persons, the oil wells of Iran dilapidated for the sole profit of the USA. A civil war like in Iraq for power to control the towns. Like in afghanistan and pakistan, probably a lot of suicide bombers as well as bombings of government facilities.
What's next?
At this stage where things are heading, there are only 3 possibilities within me:
  • The government will trash up the ones who are going against the government, arrest more people and finally hang them which will silence down the population.
  • The population will come down to the streets and overthrow the government and then make a coalition government and the US and other will want to give them a hand. In the end, the foreign armies will threaten Iran and the new government will have to give them the oil they want to against the bribe of staying in power.
  • The option which I would not like happening ! Because Teheran is such a beautiful city ! A civil war between the population and the government, with everyday bombings in the city and 2-3 years of oppression against the population.
What happened in Iran in the last 70 years that lead to this?
The Shah Mohammad Reza pahlavi of the Pahlavi dynasty, took the reigns of the kingdom of Iran. He reigned over Iran and was putting forward reforms to give voting rights to women and land reforms.
The USA and UK in 1941 invaded Iran since they thought Iran was siding with Germany. They took away the power from the shah. However, since there were no alternatives to the Shah, they let him reign some more over Iran. But, without giving him their full support. The population after his reforms turned against him and overthrow him to put the religious leader Khomeini in charge.
The USA led the destitution of the Shah of Iran who was putting forward reforms to change the lives of the persons in Iran.
The shah of Iran died while on exile in Egypt and now his son, the Prince Reza Pahlavi, legitimate heir to the throne of Iran and actually in exile in France is keeping up with the news and the possibilities of returning to his land to take in charge the country of his ancestors. The country who has seen the kings reign for 2500 years !
However, the Iranians do not know him and they would prefer an Iranian to take power in Iran.

The Game of Words from the USA and UK
The USA and UK, with the help of their popular Hilary Clinton and David Miliband are putting forward all kinds of reasons or leitmotivs to go to war in Iran or giving hopes to the population of Iran so that they overthrow the government in Iran. And also, lack of anyone to take power in Iran, they are going with any person who is being credible in criticizing the republic of Iran. Soon after the elections, Mousavi was that person ! however, what most persons seem to put aside is that Mousavi is a conservative person and they would NOT get as much freedom under him or Ahmadinejad !
The only thing that the USA and UK want is the Iranian Oil or at least someone in the top government to deal with them in terms of petrol barrels!.
Furthermore, the iranians do not deal in US dollar to sell its petrol but in other currencies. The new government that the US would like in Iran would definitely be willing to deal in US dollars, which the US can simply print and get the ultimate free meal ! free oil at least !.

I will really appreciate your point of views and comments on this one..What do you think will happen Next ?

10 tips to stay healthy :)

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height.Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay "them!"
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9 Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

The fasting of Ashoura

Ashoura or Ashura, is a day of remembrance, is the 10th of the month of Muharram. The 10th of this islamic month has been known to have witnessed many important events in the arab world. Also, This day is celebrated by Shia people all over the world. The historical facts behind this special day are as follows:

The last prophet of Islam, Muhammad (p.b.u.h) was on a visit to Madina (fr : Medine) where one of his companions there told him that a Jew was fasting. Muhammad (p.b.u.h) also fasted that same day. He went to meet that Jew and asked him why he was fasting that day.
The jew replied that Moses delivered the jews from pharaon (Ramses 2) on that day and they fast that day as Moses fasted to thank God for this favor on his people. Since then, the jews fasted on that day.
Muhammad (p.b.u.h), told the jew that he and his people were closer to Moses than the jew was. Muhammad thus decided to fast the 9th and 10th of Muharram the next year. Some scholars say the 10th and 11th of Muharram. And some recommend to fast the 3 days.

The Uranah Valley of Mount Arafat where the prophet delivered his farewell sermon.

Shi'a and the Battle of Karbala
The Shi'a celebrate that day as a day of mourning. In some countries, like Mauritius, Iran, Pakistan, Iraq, India and some others, they perform rituals which include flagellations. Some of those rituals include carrying caravans to a place they call Karbala.

The Imam Husayn Ibn Ali, The grandson of the prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h), and son of Ali, who married the daughter of the prophet, died in the battle of Karbala. Karbala is nowadays found in Iraq.
The small group accompanying Husayn, around 100 persons, were attacked by the army of Yazid which counted more than 100,000 persons. All the companions of Husayn were killed and the dead bodies were mutilated after their death. The women and children were taken to Yazid in Syria where they were imprisoned. This ends the historical facts about the battle of Karbala.

Is it part of Islam?
On the Farewell (Last) Sermon of Muhammad (p.b.u.h), he said "This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion." (Surah Al-Ma'idah 5 / verse 3)
Muhammad (p.b.u.h), was also the "seal of the prophets", meaning the last one as the quran states it, " Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of ALLAH, and the Seal of the Prophets: and ALLAH has full knowledge of all things." (Surah Al-Ahzab 33 / verse 40)

The prophet Muhammad died and his grandson Husayn died 60 years later. The religion Islam, as said by the last prophet, God had completed the religion on his people. Thus, 60 years later, the grandson of the prophet dies, he simply is not part of the religion Islam and any rituals, mournings and others cannot be associated to Islam. Mourning is not admitted and ALL DAYS are normal days where weddings can be celebrated which is not the case for Shi'a people who do not accept to make celebrations on those days.

The fasting of Ashura is for the 9th and 10th or 10th and 11th or 9th,10th and 11th of muharram, which is in Mauritius on Saturday the 26th, the 9th of Muharram. This fasting is not obligatory.
The prophet said that the fasting of Muharram cleans the bad deeds of the year passed.

*p.b.u.h - peace be upon him

Camera controlled Society !

Today, It has been officially announced on the M.B.C TV, Mauritius is following the path set by London, Singapore, Paris, New York, and Tokyo, We are ON AIR ! The project of Cinema Industry in Mauritius has been aborted since a long time. But, the government surely has found its replacement. We have all become actors and actresses overnight ! I am really not joking ! .. Those who are so fond of bollywood and try the steps at home, guess what? you are lucky! you can get yourself filmed live and without any fees!

This blog being the one of a non-sectarian mauritian ! Lolz ! shall there be any need to recall that ! I will also talk about Hollywood! Those who are so fond of Hollywood films and walk around with guns, knifes and what do I know, many even bazookas! Those who think that they are riding their vehicles like if they were in too fast too furious, Guess what? your game is over mate! You are under close watch. Those who are so fun of snatching away cellphones, your game is over too.

For those who are a bit shy or want to keep your privacy, its understandable! We are luckily not in France friends, you can wear a burqah to hide your face.
This measure is however a very good one to discourage thefts, beat and run cases, kidnappings and other criminal cases. This also gives a little more freedom to Mauritians in our Free and democratic country whereby you can roam around the towns equipped with cameras freely at night without fear, because Big Brother is keeping a safe eye on you.

In the same line of thought, the next steps to using cameras, would be equipping all police vehicles with a camera, as well as investigation rooms, questioning rooms and police station cells. Those should be equipped the soonest possible with the cameras such that Mauritius can become one of the leading countries with respect to human rights. Thus, our policemen can work safely without the fear of people pointing fingers at them and without whole cases being dismissed under suspicion of police brutality which is a very common excuse for many who get arrested.

Lève-toi, sinon ils vont t'abattre !

Copenhagen - In extremis ..

Late in the night, the world leaders came to an agreement finally on the maximum increase of temperature. The Nobel prize winner Obama showed once more that he was not worth of the award. The US priviledged once more their economic issues over the climate problems which is due to the industrialized countries. Since, it is the industrialized and developed countries which release the most pollutions in the atmosphere. Obama thus kept a low profile throughout this summit and will be waiting the senate to agree on the position to adopt in january next year. The USA indeed have a big issue with their own laws, they have a law since  more than 3 decades which states that they will not accept any decrease of their own pollutions if China does not do so, which is utterly ridiculous.

Europe, played an important role in the negotiations with Nicolas Sarkozy, Angela Merkel and Brown at the forefront to gather everyone. Angela Merkel will be hosting the further negotiations in January and the signature of the political protocol will be made in Bonn.

This summit was going to be a complete fiasco without the prompt intervention of president Sarkozy and Lula who came up with  an agreement and pulled everyone together. The credits go mostly to the europeans and brazil who are showing immense concerns for the planet Earth. The main merit of this agreement is that, the countries like India, China and USA which account for 2.4billion people and more than a third of the world population were going to be left out of the agreement. Knowing that China and India are already out of the Kyoto protocol, this would have been another green light to them, such that they can continue polluting the atmosphere.
The African countries which are mostly undeveloped and not extreme polluting countries like the ones above, will receive for the 3 years, $10billions each year to fight against pollution and deforestation. 40% of the money will go to the deforestation issue.
On the one hand, the countries which are well developed now and which have since more than a century polluted the world and on the other hand the countries which are developing. The first ones mostly agreed that they have to compensate those 3rd world countries for the pollution they are subject to and to help them, except the USA. The developing countries like China and India, say that they are now developing and they have the right to pollute as the developed countries have been polluting since decades. This has been the main disagreement throughout this summit and they have all come to a common agreement that they should do what they can to limit the increase in temperature to 2 degrees maximum.
This summit ended late night with a  very tired Nicolas Sarkozy who seemed to be quite disgusted with motives made by some not to come to an agreement on such a delicate and important issue for the planet. As he said 2 days ago, "Will we all come together here to take a picture as the world leaders who have failed ??".
We will have to wait for January to know what is the percentage that each country will agree to decrease. The next rendez-vous is for next year in Bonn. Until then, the world will have to hold its breath.

Magazine Launch and Seminar

Today we assisted the Footprints Media Seminar and the launching of the New Global Indian Magazine at the University of Mauritius in collaboration with The Symbiosis International University in Pune.

Many of you would have already asked yourself what is this all about? Firstly, this magazine has been created for the Indians throughout the world. The Prof Ujjwal K Chowdhury, Dean of Symbiosis International University in Pune, highlighted that the word “non-resident” is a negative word to use, so the concept of “New Global Indian” has been set forward to define those Indians who settle down in other countries like the UK, USA, UAE and even Mauritius etc. As on the magazine itself, it says “A forum for Forward Thinking Indians Globally”.

But what is more interesting in this magazine is that our paradisiac island has been given a privileged place under the international focus aspect. It eventually speaks of our economy, our flourishing tourism, and the Father of the Mauritian Nation. Furthermore, the famous UNESCO’s recognition of our two historical sites at the immigration depot, or Aapravasi Ghat and Le Morne have been mentioned. After all, this magazine promotes Mauritius and the Indians can have a view of our little island. Surely, this magazine will be published worldwide<

Moreover, in this ceremony, a surprising event has taken place. The team of the New Global Indian usually gives a “Young Communicator award” to a deserving person whichever country they land to. The first country was Dubai and now it comes to us. And the person who was awarded was Mrs Ariane Cavalot-de-l’Estrac, Director of Publications of l’Express. Congrats to you and we wish you all the best in whatever you undertake.

Finally, the interactive session between the speakers of the ceremony and the audience was a great one. We learnt many interesting things about the way information (news whether breaking news, international news or even local ones) is imparted in Mauritius and around the world. We came to a conclusion that the Mauritian youngsters are more prone to check the online news rather than reading a printed newspaper. Ashfaq, the owner of this blog suggests to Mrs Ariane Cavalot-de-l’Estrac that the local newspapers should provide a place in her newspaper for the blogosphere world where the blog articles could be published and youngsters could interact and share their views. She indeed took note of this interesting suggestion.

After all, it was a nice and interesting seminar since at the end, we received a key-chain from dubai in its satchet, the magazine from India, and surely good food and drinks..hehe

I request that this blog to be banned from the Mauritian blogosphere !! They are in fact just promoting their activities and nothing more !

My comment is still awaiting moderation !! don’t you have the guts to post it ??
what is the use of your blog if you cannot take it when people criticize your article ?
Blogs are not made for everyone just to make publicity of their manifestations on the web !
Get to learn more then you come back !

I let you all to judge !! .. Did i need to be censored ???
